Meet the team
At Rodley Village Day Nursery we employ a wide range of staff taking into account experience, qualifications, dedication and above all a passion to work with children. We are all passionate about childcare with a low turnover of staff we pride ourselves in our happy team!
Alongside a supportive management team who are dedicated and strive for getting the best from our practitioners ensuring we are providing the best for the children in our care.
Our door is always open and we aim to be approachable, friendly and reassuring.
Each room has a room leader, a team of staff in accordance with ratios and an apprentice.
Sarah the owner is very hands on and you will often see her around helping in rooms, cooking and in the office helping Suzie and Abi. You will also sometimes see Maggie the dog in the office with a welcome wag of her tail!
Suzie is the manager of the setting and has 30 years of experience in early years and is dedicated to the nursery and her staff. She is the safeguarding lead for the setting. She recently studied for her foundation degree in learning and development being award a distinction.
Abi is the Deputy manager and also the SENCo of the setting and safeguarding lead. She has many years' experience in early years along with a 1st class honors degree in childcare, learning and development. She works across both sites to deliver training and share her knowledge.
All our staff are first aid trained and keep up to date with training available.
At Rodley Village Day Nursery, we employ a wide range of staff taking into account their experience, qualifications, dedication and above all a passion to work with children.
The staff have many years of experience and are selected for their skills and caring nature. They are all vetted in line with our safer recruitment process. We requested references and we carry out a DBS check and all are registered on the update service.
We also have a dedicated management team with a wealth of experience in childcare.
We are fortunate to have an owner who is directly involved in overseeing the nurseries day to day operation. We pride ourselves on being a family run setting, in the heart of our community.
