How do I secure a place?

After you have visited the nursery a registration form will be sent to you via email. Once we are aware of your requirements we will check for availability and confirm whether we are able to offer you a place.

 Subject to availability we will require a £100 deposit and £25 registration fee. The £100 is returned to you when your child leaves the nursery.

The deposit is non-refundable should you cancel your place before starting with us.

How can we get help with nursery fees?

You may be eligible for help with your fees in a few ways, the Nursery Manager can assist you with any queries.

When do I have to confirm my start date?

3 Months before you are due to start with us, we ask you to confirm days and start date. We will then send you a welcome pack with relevant documents to return. You can defer your start date once, for a period of no more than 3 months. After this time if you decide not to start you will lose your deposit and be charged for the first month’s fees.


What do I do if I want to change my days or hand in my notice?

We require you to give us at least 1 months notice from the beginning of the month by email or letter.


Do we open for Bank Holidays?

We are closed on all Bank Holidays. 

We also close for the Christmas period, however we charge for 51 weeks of the year to reflect this closure.


How often are the fees revised?

Our nursery fees are reviewed on an annual basis in April.


Do you have a minimum requirement for days attended?

Yes, we have a two full day minimum policy. This enables the child to fit into a more structured routine and helps with the settling in process.


When are the fees due?

The fees are due on the first of the month in advance.


When does my child receive the 30 hour government funding?

The school term after their 3rd birthday. We will provide you with all the information you need nearer to your time of entitlement. A new contract will be given the month prior with your amended fees.


How do I know what my child has been enjoying during the day?

We use Tapestry our online learning journal for observations as well as daily feedback given by your keyworker or another member of the team. we also have a nursery mobile to communicate with you. It is also helpful for you to pass on any messages that may help us understand how your child may be for the day for example if they are unwell, had a bad night’s sleep.


What do I do if someone else is collecting my child?

If someone else is collecting, we must be informed before hand either at drop off or by text or phone call. We will always ask for a password that has been pre arranged between the setting and you. If someone arrives for your child and we are unaware that they are expected, we will always call you to double check this has been arranged.


My child has an allergy, I’m worried about them being exposed.

We will ask you to complete a medication form as part of the welcome pack. If your child has any allergies, this will be need to be detailed within an individual health care plan. 

All staff throughout the nursery will be notified, and of course the nursery chef. We also have a special allergy policy that we follow.


How well vetted are the staff?

All staff must complete an enhanced DBS check in order to work with children, they will be asked to subscribe to the update service as part of our safer recruitment process. The Nursery Manager will all references are obtained and will not allow a member of staff to work unsupervised within the nursery until all DBS checks are complete.


Does the nursery have cameras to take pictures of the children?

There is a tablet in each room to take photographs to evidence the child’s development. We have a photograph policy and will only take pictures with parental agreement. The nursery is a mobile free environment for staff, parents and visitors. We do have use of a nursery phone which enable us to provide updates throughout the day.


Who do I do if I have a complaint?

We have a complaints procedure which in on the information board in the entrance. The management team are available to help with any concerns or queries.
