Safari Room

Our preschool room is for children aged 3 years 2 months to school age and is based upstairs in the building. It is a nurturing space where children build on their growing independence, it is where confidence and exploration truly come to life.

It is a space full of light and character with lots of exciting activities and areas for the children to engage in their learning. We promote independence by encouraging self-serving, toileting with support and selfcare. The focus is on school readiness, by providing a rich environment and a love for learning, all within a warm, supportive setting. We offer the perfect balance between structured early learning and nurturing play-based care.

Our Preschool curriculum is designed around the EYFS to inspire curiosity and lay the foundations for lifelong learning. It prioritises developing the essential skills children need for a smooth and successful transition into primary school.

We focus on the seven areas of learning and development, using a balance of structured activities and child-led play to support communication and language skills, early reading and writing skills, understanding math, personal care and social skills.
